My go to bronze look!

May 21, 2020

As both a freelance makeup artist and someone who works in retail cosmetics, I rarely go a day without wearing makeup. However, quarantine has been a much different story. I consider mascara and lip balm effort at this point (lol).

These days I have been obsessing over the impromptu haircut my sister gave me and how desperately I need highlights. In an attempt to avoid wrecking my hair any further, I decided yesterday that I would put on a full face of makeup to distract myself. It worked- so I am here to share with you all some of my current favorite products for a quick glowy/bronzey makeup look!

Here is my list of beauty faves- all with shopable links to make your life easier!

Tula Brighten Up soothing primer gel – silicone free which is a must for me, so non clogging. Still brightening, super smoothing, and GRIPPING. The texture is really cool- like a whipped gel. Big fan.

Dior forever skin glow foundation- I love this stuff because it is a good medium coverage that can be built up or sheered out, very glowy, super long wearing, and a great olive undertone for my skin. It has a nice stick to it so the rest of my makeup holds tight to it all day. I wear shade 2WO.

Shiseido synchro skin self refreshing concealer – one of the few concealers that I truly love. Hydrating, long wearing, and SELF REFRESHING- aka, looks like you just put in on….. ALL DAY. Sign me up. I have repurchased this at least 3 times and don’t plan on stopping. I wear shade 202.

Beauty bakerie flour setting powder – Usually, I think setting powders all one in the same- nothing to write home about…. until this one. The ulta employee recommended this to me one day as I was browsing around and I have not gone back since. It is super fine, translucent but super brightening, no flashback, and SMOOTHING AS HECK. I will never love another. I wear it in the shade oat, which is transluscent.

Physicians formula butter bronzer – For the price, this bronzer cannot be beat. Actually, regardless of price, this bronzer cant be beat. The formula is unlike any other I have used- truly like butter. Very creamy and ultra blendable. Patchy cheeks are a thing of the past with this guy. Not to mention, it smells like a tropical vacation. I use the shade dark.

Flesh tender flesh blush – I am a huge blush girl and this is still my go-to. I love the formula, love the way it looks on the skin, and adore the color with just the tiniest bit of shimmer. I wear the shade pinch.

Charlotte Tilbury beauty highlighter wand – This is the holy grail of all holy grails. The only highlighter that I truly believe is worth anything. It is stunning. Words do it no justice. Trust me, just try it out for yourself. You will thank me later. I use the shade spotlight.

Glossier boy brow – I typically just put gel in my brows because they are pretty thick. I have tried ever gel on the market and this is the one I consistently come back to. It fills in my brows and keeps them up ALL day. Never flakes. Something about it is just better than the rest. I use the shade brown.

Pat mcgrath mothership bronze seduction– I adore Pat Mcgrath eyeshadows. The formula is super unique and unlike anything else on the market. Her glitter shades look absolutely wet and stunning. The palette I used cannot be found anywhere- but I only used one medium bronze shade in it so I have linked another pat mcgrath palette I own with a similar shade.

Kat Von D ink liner– I know everyone is crazy about the KVD tattoo liner, but I don’t get the hype. Ink is where it’s AT. Its a felt tip, which is my preference, and it is much blacker than the tattoo. I think this is the easiest liner to use.

Too Faced damn girl mascara – This is an all time fave for me. The wand is similar to the Better Than Sex wand in shape, but like twice the size. The mascara is also a whipped texture so it feels very light and keeps lashes voluminous, curled, and UP all day long without flaking. It is super super voluminous- so if you like more separated lashes, this isn’t for you. However, I think it is perfect!

Charlotte Tilbury iconic nude liner – My favorite lip liner of all time. The perfect nude. Extremely long wearing and budge proof. Goes with absolutely ever lipstick. Even looks good with just lip balm. Again, this is a thank me later product. I also love the colors Pillow Talk, Hot Gossip, and Supersize me (my regular rotation).

Charlotte Tilbury Nude Kate Lipstick – I put this lipstick on first, then changed it because I felt like the look needed a bit more peach. However, this is worth mentioning as one of my favorite TRUE nude lipsticks. Very hydrating and color is stunning.

Pat Mcgrath Luxetrance Valetta – One of my favorite lipstick formulas ever. Super creamy, very long wearing. This is a perfect peachy nude that looks good with pretty much every look. I have to direct myself away from this lipstick and force myself to try others sometimes. It’s a keeper, a forever in my kit.

That about wraps it up for my easy bronze look. I hope you found some products to try that will soon become staples in your makeup bag as well!
